How does Okaro convert JPY to TWD?
Okaro pulls live rates and records the rate used for each transaction, so historical entries stay accurate even when rates move. If you enter the actual credit-card settlement amount, Okaro reverse-calculates your true card rate (settlement ÷ foreign amount), which is more accurate than published reference rates.
Which currencies does Okaro support?
TWD, JPY, USD, EUR, KRW, CNY, HKD, GBP, and AUD are built in with automatic conversion. You can also manually lock a rate per transaction to match your actual credit-card settlement.
How is Okaro different from general expense apps like Mint or MoneyPro?

Can I use Okaro offline?
The iOS app fully supports offline transaction entry and receipt capture, syncing to Supabase and iCloud when connectivity returns. The Web PWA uses Service Worker caching so you can work on a plane or with spotty Japan-side connectivity.
How accurate is the AI receipt recognition?
Okaro uses Google Gemini 2.5, which extracts amount, date, merchant, currency, and line items. Traditional Chinese and Japanese receipts have the highest accuracy. For best results, shoot in good lighting with the receipt flat and the total clearly visible.
How do I reconcile with customers?
One-click export of any customer or date range to CSV / Excel, with original receipt and payment-proof links attached to each row. Pro adds custom report fields and brand logos so you can email reconciliation statements directly to clients.
Is my data safe?
Data lives in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security, sensitive fields are additionally encrypted, and iOS supports Face ID / Touch ID lock. Cloud backups go through iCloud and accounts are protected via OAuth + Supabase Auth.
